Obscura Fashion Magazine
I designed a couture fashion magazine inspired by a television series, reinterpreting its aesthetic through a high-fashion editorial lens. Through styling, lighting, photography, and typography, the magazine depicts a character’s descent into possession caused by a cursed necklace as she crosses into the Twilight Zone. A primarily black-and-white palette gradually gives way to red, symbolizing the necklace’s growing control, while the typography mirrors this shift by becoming more intrusive and expressive across each spread.

Process
I began by creating a moodboard to define the story and visual tone. I found a model, styled her in a couture outfit, and fully directed her with poses to show her posession by the necklace. I adjusted lighting to evoke specific moods while balancing digital typography with the photography. I then hand-crafted the magazine, printing each page then cutting, scoring, and gluing them together to create a physical copy.
