Pimenta Stone Website Redesign

For this project, we were tasked with redesigning a website of our choice. I chose Pimenta Stone, a construction company, whose existing site felt outdated, cluttered, and didn’t showcase their projects well. My redesign focused on improving user experience and visual clarity by simplifying content, adjusting typography for hierarchy, and organizing the layout to guide users naturally. I upgraded the photo gallery to be interactive and easy to navigate, highlighting the company’s work more effectively, and ensured the site is responsive and mobile-friendly. These changes result in a clean, polished, and professional website that better communicates the company’s services while enhancing usability and accesssability.

UI/UX Design

Process

Most of the project was spent doing research, including competitive analysis, user research through interviews and surveys, and site research. I visited the Pimenta Stone office to get a better understanding of the environment and team. I created a user persona, user journey, information architecture, and user flows to fully prepare and solidify my concept. From there, I designed low-fidelity wireframes for the website, which helped speed up the design process. Once the web version was complete, the last step was to create the low-fidelity wireframes for the mobile version.
